The United Nations Environmental Program is the leading global environmental authority that coordinates environmental activities and help developing countries in implementing environmentally sound policies and practices. In this session, the committee will discuss the question of enforcing a standard of corporate social responsibility with regards to environmental protections. The pollutions that occur in rivers or landscapes by corporate can cause severe and irreversible damage to the environment without specific regulations that are implemented to protect the environment. Hence, the delegates will aim to produce a resolution that provide methods to enforce responsibility on corporates.

The question of protecting natural biodiversity near urban areas with regards to controlling pollution 

Moreover, the committee will look to protect natural biodiversity near urban areas with regards to controlling pollution. The accelerating decline in the global diversity of living things are a major concern as 51% of the world’s population now life in cities, creating a huge carbon footprint. This is as the increase of non-natural materials and carbon emission causes difficulty for local plants and animals to thrive. Thus, this issue will be discussed and looked to provide solutions by delegates to enhance the situations of the declining biodiversity.
